What is Insights & Solutions?
Insights & Solutions is a new team within GP, focused on creating, delivering, and enhancing Procurement solutions for cross-category and/or complex business problems, by connecting external market capabilities to internal Roche needs, co-creating innovative external market offerings, and providing market insights and intelligence. This is an exciting new area where you can develop cross-functional expertise, explore your passions and deliver significant, long-term value to Roche beyond the traditional Procurement value chain.
This position reports into the Sr. Market Analysis Manager.

As the Market Analysis Manager - China, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will bring innovation, external expertise, strategic thinking and solution development to support the growing demand within GP and other business functions for insights. Using your specialized knowledge, in-depth expertise, and ability to convert opportunities into outcomes, you will develop and deliver market intelligence reports and analysis solutions to support customer needs and solve business problems.
You will work closely with procurement colleagues, business customers, suppliers, and other relevant colleagues either as a peer, coach, project/workstream lead, or subject matter lead, to align on needs, opportunity identification, and priority to develop, enhance, or deploy market intelligence and analysis solutions to our internal customers.
There are two (2) roles available for this position with a number of different possible focus areas. As a new team in China, these focus areas may evolve based on changing customer needs and priorities, in addition to focus and capabilities of the team.

Your key responsibilities include:

As a Market Analysis Manager - China, you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general requirements, including but not limited to:
Acting as a domain knowledge and subject matter specialist, providing input, advice, and know-how in a market area and/or on the market analysis framework and network.
Developing and contributing to the identification, refinement, and management of frameworks, tools, templates, and realization approaches, applying an in-depth understanding of GP’s and the overall business portfolio and pipeline in order to generate proactive market trend analysis and category collaboration.
Advocating and championing service offerings, focused on promoting the value delivery across customers and improving the overall offering.
You will work with the team, networks, and squads to determine the roles needed to deliver in both project and foundational work.
You bring the following skills, mindsets, and behaviors:
Skills
You hold a university degree, with a business or information technology degree preferable. You also have 5+ years within procurement, technology management, or management consulting, ideally in a matrix organization, and demonstrated in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge across a range of procurement category areas.
In addition, you have:
Demonstrated experience delivering strategies, market expertise, and innovation across categories or markets.
Supplier relationship management, negotiation skills, and new market entrants scouting skills.
Background in tool / portal implementation for supplier service offering library development preferred.
The ability to explain difficult or higher complexity capability information to others or collect/translate moderate complexity stakeholder requirements in situations requiring alignment and consensus.
Business level fluency in English.
