• SHV Energy is a global player in a wide range of energy sources throughout the world. As a key player in the energy market, we want to actively speed up the sustainable energy transition. 

• In our strategy we are committing to continuous innovation and improvement in our current business.  We are expecting to explore more in new energy in addition to LPG and LNG, including and not least than hydrogen, electricity, wind and biofuel.

• Given the importance of Xiwei Gas and the Chinese market to our global ambitions, we now want to expand our team with a dedicated New Energy Manager in China.

   

  How would you demonstrate your profession?

• In close collaboration with our global team and country business team, drive our global Must Win Battle ‘Maintain our global market share of New Energy’ by actively maintaining a thorough overview of new energy market developments in China, contacting stakeholders and negotiating in order to secure new energy supply in China

• Proactive development of potential activity to strengthen our position in the value chain (our second Must Win Battle) by engaging relevant stakeholders in discussions about collaboration or potential investment opportunities.

• In close collaboration with our Principal Scientist, drive China specific R&D activities, innovation challenges and other activities designed to widen awareness of our interest in biofuels development (feedstock, conversion technology and innovation)

• China specific support for activities around our product portfolio including the scope for (renewable) hydrogen and other potential new energy in China

• Active team member of the global new energy team including market intelligence, communications, embedding the role of new energy in our global organization

• Develop the analysis plan on the focus segment, such as hydrogen, rooftop PV, etc.

• Prioritize the segments according to the research,

• Review the process of the segment assessment on a regular basis

   

   

  How could you make yourself shining?

• 5+ years’ experience in the energy and/or renewable energy industry or consultancy

• Relevant technical academic qualifications (technical, chemistry, engineering, environmental science)

• Good understanding of new and renewable energy market dynamics in China

• Analytical skills to assess and identify appropriate courses of action for resolution of problems that are unique, diverse and time sensitive

• Passion and strong willingness to make dedication in new energy business

• Excellent communication skills

• Available for travel up to 40%
